Have just done this to my facelift cupra, fitted the RNS510 and premium bluetooth.

Was a right faff on to get the cable through the carpet to the bluetooth module under the drivers seat. And also the microphone / GPS ariel in the interior light unit.

Bluetooth and RNS510 just plug into existing wiring harness. but will need coding using VAG-COM.

Took me around two hours to fit the whole bluetooth and rns510. All works perfect with funn integration with the display and steering wheel controls

With the right firmware it is plug and play your's being Pre Fl you can fit the SEAT OEM RNS510 without any coding.

You'll need to code the rns 510 to get the directions to come up on the MFD!

Just make sure you get the 2700 fw & v7.1 maps - so you'll get full postcode search & poi!

Also if you get the VW version - you'll need to cut a bit of plastic out of the cage..... very simple job!

What year is your motor? If pre 2008, you'll get the clock shift!

Mine is 2007 so you only have to code it to get the directions up on mfd but Bt and iPod should not need coding

In essence yes the 510 is just an interface so everything that comes up now will still be there just the MFD needs to be told that a Sat Nav is present.

When I installed my rns 510 in my Leon a 57 plate everything worked straight away with no coding required at all. The only thing I have to change was the wiring for the aux point but that isn't too hard from reading the wiring diagram on the rns unit. If your unit is a seat one then your clock will be fine too it's only the vw one which will shift your clock. It will take you 5 mins to fit it as it is so easy

Have you got the full MFD? If you have, you need to tick the navigation option via vcds!

Nah, the Seat version will cause the clock shift as well...... it's got nothing to do with what version you have! It all depends when your car was built!

Yeah I have the large mfd and bluetooth etc. I didn't code mine in for ages and instantly I got the navigation option through the mfd menu and the directions etc came up when I was using it.

Damn, that was a bit of luck! Your car must have been built when they made the changes as I remember some people getting the seat version & still getting the clock shift issue..... another bit of luck!!!!

100% sure you'll have the clock shift issue! All 07 plates have it - the changes came in late 57... a number on the log book will tell you (do a search on here for more info)!
