SEAT Leon Lease - first service

Hi

I've had the car since August 2021 and yet to have it serviced - the inspection indicator on the infotainment system says it's 90 days overdue (completely my fault that I haven't got it done). Need to book one in at my local SEAT dealership and it is saying 1st year service (10k miles) or 2nd year service (20k miles). Awkwardly the car is at 15k miles - assume I'm better off choosing the 2 year service here?

I realise there's a fine SEAT impose for missed services of £60 but want to get this sorted now.

Thanks!

Get in touch with the lease company and ask them. That's what i did and they told me it was 20k or 2 years whichever soonest. Then your query is on file and they can argue with the dealer.

The lease company don't care as long as it hasn't missed a service, your car was obviously set for flexible on delivery so only needs to be serviced when it says so - just don't let the dealer do the fixed service options (the first or second etc)

I took out the maintenance package fornthe 4 year lease, so for me it doesn't matter what service schedule it is, it'll get sorted by the lease company. Did you not take a maintenance contract then?

I've never even been tempted by a lease maintenance package, doing it yourself costs a fraction - on a three year lease it's just one flexible service so £250 all in.

Most lease maintenance packages cover tyres, brakes etc too. Depending on usage it’s often pretty easy to at least break even on them.

For 4 years mine covers everything, servicing, MOT, tyres and anything when out of warranty.
