Seat Leon Mk1 Build Thread

Hello guys. I though I would start a thread on the progression of my car over time. God only knows when I will be happy with it. I firstly got the car two years ago off my mates dad. Turns out he bought it off a old lady who never drove it down to the fact that water lay in the footwells. After a quick search I soon put a stop to the well know water leak.

When I bought the car there was only around 37,000 on the clock with a full service history which was amazing for a 2002 1.9tdi. Being brought up around cars all my life I soon had to have it lowered and get a set of wheels on.

I was seventeen at the time I got the car so with the price of insurance I though coilovers and wheels will do me un tell I save more. Ill get some pictures of the car uploaded tonight when i'm on my main computer.

Thanks for the replay Crafoo. It will take a while to get used to the set up. I may get posting to get this thread up and going. It wasn't until this year that I've found out how useful forums are. Im glad I came across SCN.

Brilliant bud thanks. Its funny looking back at the older pictures of my car. Hope to have some up soon! Buying car parts is my weak spot I cant have enough! Another is detailing products, i'm some what of a clean freak!

Had so much wrote then my browser decided to crash. Just lovely!
Heres some pictures of my car at the start to where it is know.

Time for a new set of wheels. Landrover Mondial's. 40mm back spacers and 30mm fronts. For a bit more of a beefy look.

More to come. Computers playing up at the minute.
Currently it will looks like this but I have managed to get a Cupra FR LCR kit. So around the end of march the kit will be going on. After that I'll hopefully buy a new set of wheels and add some camber to the back. Also going to do some adjustments to the coilovers to get them a bit lower. Enjoy

Them wheels look great, wasn't sure at first but they beef it up lovely! Really clean MK1.

I haven't seen many leon's with this done. It's a mad notion which I took one day. I though why not as I keep carrying a lot of cleaning stuff around with me and if something spelt it would be a nightmare. So to keep the carpet in good condition I made this custom wooden floor boat. (The glare on the bumper is polish)
