Seat Leon MK2 Headlight replacement

Hi guys,

Basically I am looking at replacing my front headlights to something nicer as I have broke the clip that holds my light bulb in. I've rang around and everyone is saying i can't replace the clip i have to buy the whole unit. searching on here as well and people seem to say the same. I was just wondering if I did replace it with new ones would these come with the clips or is it a different thing the garages are on about?

Sorry for the stupid question, i just don't want to waste money.

Also any suggestions on which type of lights would look best would be nice or if you know of a temp fix for the light

I've actually sold my Leon mk2 now but before I sold it I had a project undergoing with robthebubble.
Basically retrofitting xenon projectors into the standard headlights.

Output will be like the BMW Audi Mercedes you see these days,
Probably up for sale some time next month?

Keep you eyes peeled as they might be on eBay

Above lights mentioned or why not try a breakers yard for a heavy front end damaged Leon.
If the headlight lights are broken I doubt they will want too much for the clips

Hank you for your replies. I've looked in scrappies abit of a nightmare.

Just to confirm if I do buy new ones they will come with the clip won't they?

Yeah the new ones will come with a clip. Have you seen the price of new ones?
Bit extreme for less than 50p's worth of clip. Have a look on ebay for Leons being scrapped or ring one of them national services that searches for you and they call you back. Costs a few quid but saves ringing around.

Yeah but I've got excited for new lights haha. I've seen some nice ones I think I want. But I've just moved up north so it's not really a viable time to buy new lights. Ill look on eBay and see what I can get, thanks a lot for the advice and help

So ive rang around today and no one seems interested in finding it. They all say they can't do that or they would only sell the whole headlight!! Nightmare.

Think I'm going to try and make one myself...
