Does anyone know the manufacturer quoted time to 100kmph?

Parkers seem to suggest its 6.7s where as everyone else quotes 6.9...

On further thinking....

Actually, I bet what Parkers did here was:-

Convert 100kmph to mph (100 / 1.609344): 62.137mph

Then divide 6.9 by 62.137 to get miles per second: 0.111mps

And finally multiply that by 60 and you end up with: 6.662s

Which I suppose means that the Cupra R is 6.9s to 62mph and 6.7s to 60.

Makes sense at last!

Acceleration is not a linea equation, so you can't work it out like that.

Do a search, LCR 0-60/100 has been done tons of times (but I can't remember what the book figure actually is)

For the second time today I'm posting from my old Leon brochure (issue 04/05 apparently)... at least I can wear my anorak with pride now its raining... :hide:

SEAT says 0-62mph dash for the Cupra R takes 6.9s, for the Cupra 20VT its 7.7s, and the 1.9 TDi 150 takes 8.9s

Actually, I just remembered, my 'anorak' is in fact a bright yellow SEAT Sport jacket... [B)]

Yeah, to be honest that kind of difference is going to be more dependent on driver skill, tyre wear and road (er, I mean, track  ) conditions anyway.
