semi or fully synthetic

Local dealer has suggested 15/40 semi synthetic for my 1.6 Leon.

Correct or should i buy fully synthetic? Or Mineral?

Im clueless!

You can check on the Castrol website what is recommended for your car.

Castrol recommend Edge 5W-30 which is a full synthetic.

Even so, I would have thought that the 1.6 non-turbo engine would be quite happy with a semi-synthetic oil.

I have always found Millers and Morris oils to be first-class. Drop them an email or ring them for their advice. Both companies are very helpful.

It is defined in the manuals against a VW spec this changes if you have a turbo and or a DPF fitted - the latter more expensive !@!
But as beachboy says millers /castrol is a good start
