I have a Leon cupra r owned it a week and the ride seems harsh it seems to crash into pot holes and bumps is this normal ? I have a bora really low on jom coilovers and the ride is so much better im disappointed in a away

Is this this normal for a lcr ?

If so so anybody recommend any budget springs and shocks or coilovers

Check your top mounts. Look at the gap between the chassis and the strut top cup - if it's wide then there may well be some play, with the whole strut shifting as the car crashes into potholes. Renewed mine after 130k miles (and bearings) and felt a lot better.

Ill give it a good checking over its at 113k miles so to be fair they all could do with replacing as I have no history of them already done so
 
I had uprated Sway bars but I've just bought a MK2 FR and the ride is SO much smoother.
My LCR was quite crashy, but not anything close to my MK4 Ibiza.

It shouldn't be TOO bad. Some coilovers are nice and spongy though and maybe your bora had larger profile tyres?
 
It must be down to the coilovers been spongy like you said as the bora had 225 40 18s same as the Leon the top mounts ect all seem ok just checked,and its just passed an mot monday

Im tempted to uprate the whole suspension for peace of mind and hopefully better ride
 
I have a MK2 Leon now and I kind of miss the confidence that the LCR suspension gave me.
I uprated the sway bars (Along with a few other bits that are in my garage) and the car was like it was sat on rails.

The roads round my way are pretty good. I can't remember the last time I saw a pothole so I'm very lucky but over surfaces with multiple bumps and I was going at speed, Bang Bang Bang makes the stereo skip. Every speed bump was slow!

Depends what your looking for really, I really trusted my LCR in the bends.
 
I have a rear arb to fit did you have updated front aswell then ? And I totally agree with you to say its standard it handles so well on the corners

I Was looking at this kit what sort of quality is it ? Would you say its JOM equivalent ?
 
Do you you happen to know if I need to run spacers on the front to run these ? Thank you

Sorry for bringing g up old thread guys but damian . Could u co firm which collovers are best for lcr 225 out of pro sport , jom, and fk ak street.. thanks
