on the formentor vz2 can you add shortcuts on the infotainment screen like you can on the new golf ,things like stop start and lane assist disable ect so they are readily available without digging into menus eveytime you startup.

Yes, you can. But check my videos. I added all assitants to main screen to switch them off and then at the next start all defaulted to start/stop. But in the end, I was able to keep start/stop and lane assist on home screen, they stayed permanently. You can also see from videos how long it takes to start everything and that it's not that precise. I press the toggle but it didn't work, so had to press it second time. Now imagine doing it while driving.

Step 1, added all asistants.

Step 2, I restarted car and it took ages to load the home screen and all of them were start/stop.

Step 3, in the end kept two permanently. So, I can switch them on/off while driving.

Ok ive watched the videos thank you ,on the home screen when it finally starts (SLOW) you have start stop ,lane assist and front assist.you turn them all off but then go into menus and seemed to turn them off again i was not sure what you was trying to show .if indeed you can just slide all of those 3 off before you set off until obd gets sorted then its doable ,thank you .

We were discussing shortcuts on the forum in March, so I went to the car and put all smart assistants on the main screen. However when I restarted the car after a few minutes, I discovered that they all defaulted to the start/stop. Also, it takes ages to load the main screen.

So after testing, I only left start/stop and lane assist on the main screen, if I need to use them while driving.

When I start the car, I click car icon, smart assistants and switch them off from there because car menu loads faster that main screen. It still takes a minute or so, to load car menu and switch off assistants.

Videos are just showing different options. You can try putting everything on main screen or go to the menu and do it from there.

You can test creating shortcuts during test drive. Also see how long it takes to load infotainment and change options there. Smart assistans or lack of buttons could be deal breaker. Unfortunately, most new cars go this way.
