Have had my 71 plate 1.0 tsi 110 FR now for a couple of weeks and still noticing how dull the initial throttle response is.
Have changed form eco to normal to sport etc but cannot feel any change.
So I got the carista to change a few things and one was to change the throttle to direct….brilliant I changed it and eeeerrrrr….no difference !
ive been in a 115 Ibiza and it seemed better than the 110 , I just wonder if emissions play a part in this ?
Only other option is purchase a pedal box from DTUK or tdi Tuning . I’ve had many over the years and know they work well so may have to invest.
Just annoying a car with settings is so dull initially - anybody feel the same ?

There is a whole discussion on what that option does. Turns out, it doesn't control the throttle response, it controls how fast the car switches between driving profiles. It's useless!

I have an 115hp Ibiza and also find the throttle response a bit lazy. You can tell the car's computer is normalising the driver's input to reduce fuel consumption and make the drive more civilised and smooth.

I’ve invested in a pedal box from tdi Tuning , will come back with results when it arrives.

Hi guys
ok so the tdi tuning pedal box arrived for the Ibiza and have to say it’s great.
At last I can accelerate properly , it had a slight flatspot that has been eliminated as well.
5 mins to fit , exactly like dtuk ones but £90 cheaper.
same settings etc and it works a treat. Feels like I’ve activated a proper sports button now. My old Astra had a sport button and it’s about the same . The eco, normal, sport in the menu to me is just a waste of time .Also carista app did nothing when I changed the throttle response.
But this pedal box is great , I’ve left it in sport mode (there is higher and lower) but it feels right.
Won’t ever take it off now it’s fitted and it’s changed my mind about the car . My dealer I bought it from has offered £700 more than I paid for it 22 days ago and I must say I was tempted but now it feels a better car so will hold fire on any offers.

I've got the same engine 1.0TSI 110 in an Audi A3 DSG (MHEV). Coming from a 152bhp Volvo V40, yes I find it lacking when overtaking long lorries on single carriageway roads, but it's fairly quick off the line in 1st and 2nd from the lights (thought maybe the MHEV gives it a boost) despite the A3 being about 100kg heavier than the Ibiza.
