Software update

Hi my seat arona has been to arnold clark seat and they are wanting 350 pound to do 2 hour long software updates on car error code P164700 and B200045 they are saying the car was coded incorrectly at manufacture we have autocare in arnold clark but doesnt cover manufacturers faults and is out of warranty now is this something you can do yourself, put into a cheaper garage or needs to be a seat dealer?

Could you show them this? I knows it’s VW, not Seat, but it’s still VAG isn’t it. So could be a known issue? Have they tried to clear the codes to see if they return?
