Sold my MK2 1.6 Diesel and went for a Cupra 290.

Its beautiful, smooth and the slightest bit of power I've managed to use is unreal.

I honestly don't know what to do with it though I'm overwhelmed.

I've had it 4 days now and I'm just pottering around in Eco mode barely going above 4k. Should I just put this beauty into Cupra mode 24/7. Its a DSG but I'm loving the flappys.

Welcome to the world of aching face.

The cupra makes you smile far too much but please keep an eye on your speedo as it gets fast quick (as i am sure you have found out). And I would also stress Seat do make good drivers cars across the range.

One of the other members here does a great line about the cupra along the lines of the car makes you take the long way home or go out for a drive just because you love the way it drives.

I did the same a couple weeks back. Mk2 2.0 tdi fr to the cupra 280. Bloody loving it! Let us know once youve taken it above 4k

I've got a bit of a drive tomorrow. Roughly 150 mile round trip so fingers crossed I'll get to see if the speedo works and finally hear the exhaust's magic.

If the weather permits I'll take a few snaps and share.
