SPEC clutches - longevity

I've got a SPEC stage 3+ clutch installed on my car. I've had it on there for about 2 years and has covered around 30K miles.
Just recently, when burying the throttle between 2.5-3K revs, it has slipped a little, probably about 500rpm or so and then grips. It's only done it a few times, first time was about a week ago going up a hill in 2nd gear, and then again yesterday on the motorway in 5th gear doing an overtaking manouvre. The car is only running on a K03S so the clutch is major overkill for my requirements (another story) but there's no way this should be happening unless these clutches have a short lifespan. I'm not one to hoon it about the place or do any 1/4 mile runs either and would say the car has had a very easy life.

Anyone know if these have a short life span compared to other clutches?

I'll be a bit disappointed if it's on it's way out due to the cost of it and the fact it's not really been abused. My OE clutch covered 75K miles and was only half worn when it was replaced with the SPEC one.

Doesnt sound good mate but it may not be the actual clutch plate itself. I would have thought with your power it should last longer than 30k miles with normal driving like you said.

Thanks for the reply PJ. Unfortunately, it's happening more frequently now. It seems to only happen when the turbo's spooling up when in 4th or 5th gear. I can drive round it easily enough as it seems to grip fine if catching the revs at about 3K rpm upwards but I guess this could be the first signs of it wearing. It's booked in at AMD for it's MOT on Friday so I'll get a cost from them to inspect it to see what's occuring.

Does anyone else run a SPEC clutch that's had a few miles put on it (in excess of about 20,000)? Any issues at all?
Just trying to gauge whether it's worth purchasing another one in the near future or seek an alternative.
