Hi guys ,

In Dec '05 there was a thread about what appears to be a common prob with Cupras where the revs drop to 200 or so when you dip the clutch i.e. approaching a junction. In worse cases the car cuts out and hence can cause some hairy moments!
My '98 Ibiza Cupra's doing it and I've tried injector cleaner to no evail.
Can anyone suggest a solution thats easy to do and cheap!?!
Cheers , Laptop.

Hi my x-plate leon cupra was doing this every now and again, had it put on the diagnostics and it came up with turbo pressure drop between turbo and throttle body,

the garage said this was quite comon and could be many things but changed my N75 valve and took of the throttle body gave it a good clean with some carb cleaning product then put it back together and cleared the fault code.

Ive driven the car for quite a while now and the revs never drop below 750-800ish and it performs spot on.

This may not be your problem but if your handy with a spanner you could try cleaning out the throttle body yourself before spending any big money.

hope this helps:clap:
