Starting issues - oily plugs

So I've been having starting issues recently. Changed my plugs about 8 weeks ago then a short while after the starting issues began.

Was suggested coil packs or fuel pump. Changed the coil packs today and same issue, but I noticed oil around the top of plug 3 and 4. So took them all out and cleaned them up, was some thick oil on the bottom and thinner oil above the threads.

Once cleaned the car started, so I'm guessing this is why. But what's causing it? I assume some gaskets or seals need replacing, can anyone state exactly what I'd need and how to go about replacing them?

Or is it possible I just didn't tighten plugs 3 and 4 enough? Only time will tell regarding that I guess.

Cheers

Maybe oil is seeping in at the bottom of the plug tubes.

Have seen this before with the same symptoms but that was on a BMW mini (a common fault on those apparently).

Never heard of this happening on any VAG engines though.
Just my 2 penneth worth.

Hopefully someone will be along soon who actually knows.

Just to say, im not sure they have plug tubes lol.
Could be the O Rings around the plug holes in/on the rocker cover gone brittle.
