Steering prob altea

Hi guys ive got a strange groaning-grinding noise from front end when steering left not as bad when turning right just wondering if anyone else got the same or had the same problem.

Sounds like a possible wheel bearing.....I had the same problem on my old Astra and it was a front right wheel bearing!!

Is this covered on the warranty? Thats if it is that of course!!

sounds like a CV joint more like. check the inside of your wheels, if they are covered in black grease then its more likely the cv boot has gone and no grease is there to lubricate the joint.

I doubt it to be honest on the warranty front.......CV joint went on my Altea and it created more of a knocking then a grinding......I could be very wrong here though.....

They said it was the bearings at the top of the suspension and replaced them under warranty . Peace and quiet now.
