Hi all,
I have noticed a problem with my Leon.
My clutch pedal sticks low to the floor, this is the 2nd time in a week.
When it happens the gear display on the dash is blank.
I have to put my foot behind the pedal and pull it up and presto, the gear number reappears.
Anyone else come across this or any ideas.
Thanks,
Kevin,

Does the gear engage or are you just complaining about the number not being shown.

Not engaging would say the clutch master cylinder is ****ed, if it's about the number not a Scooby I'm not a seat tech

Yes the gears engage ok but biting point is near the floor until I pull the pedal back up.
Could this be a master cylinder, only 27k miles on it?
Thanks for your reply.

My car is in to get this sorted.
Mechanic told me it’s the master cylinder (covered by warranty thankfully).
Hopefully get it back tomorrow.

After 2 days, they changed the fluid instead.
The dealer is now given me 6 months warranty on this issue.
Said there was air in the fluid,my concern is how it got there.
We will wait and see.

Hi!
My clutch pedal sticks as well and I’ve tried bleeding it and the fluid come out frothy? It has pressure for a bit but after driving down the motorway for a while it loses pressure and I have to keep pumping the clutch to get it in gear?
Does anyone know what to do?
Please help?!

It's probably the master cylinder or slave cylinder. Mine went, it leaks fluid onto the clutch. Can't remember if it's slave or master cylinder.

If it’s leaking on to the clutch then it would be the Master Cylinder as that’s above the clutch whereas the slave is located within the gearbox housing

What sort of money should I be looking at if getting the master cylinder replaced? My local Seat dealer wants around £1k for investigation and then replacement if needed. I recently have been having the same issue with sticky clutch pedal, and it's usually back to normal after the car has been running for a little while.

I don’t know what the costs are as the dealer fixed under warranty.
Certainly seems better and has been good for 2 weeks now.
They told me master cylinder, actuator and bearing replaced (don’t ask me tech questions please).
Fingers crossed it’s all sorted now.
