I bought a used boc from them in April amd it had dodgy paint on the front bumper. "Don't worry they all do that, it will be done on warrenty" I was told. I would have left the car untill it was done but due to circumstances I couldn't wait.
Pics taken and sent to Seat for warrenty claim. A month or so later and no news of my respray, so I called in. The service guy recalled sending the pics in and told me Seat had rejected the claim sying it was caused by stone chips!But he didn't ring to tell me this. By then the paint was worse so they took more pics and put another claim in. 6 weeks later no news so yesterday I rang them. "I will have to log in to the Seat system and check for you, can I ring you back in 5 minutes?" said the nice service girl. Ok fine.
An hour and a half later I ring again to be told she is now dealing with a customer in sales and would ring me back shortly.
Two hours later I was annoyed so rang Stoneacre HQ and conplained. Apparently Doncaster have been a bit tardy with dealing with my problem and Stoneacre take customer complaints about their dealers seriousley. The man from HQ was going to ring Doncaster and have a word and he or someone from Donny would ring me back.
I have checked my phone, it works perfectly so I can only assume that Stoneacre do not allow outgoing calls as nobody has rung me back.
Do I really have to drive down there every time I need to speak to someone? I assume they would be quick to call me if I owed them money!
Fortunately I did not sign up to their 5 year servise package, which will ensure my Stoneacre lifetime warrenty remains valid. I would rather have NO warrenty and take my car to a dealer I can trust thanks. Do I even want them to paint my bumper now?
Can't see me going there for anything in the future.
