Strange tapping noise

This has only just started happening.
there seems to be some sort of clunking noise when i drive along.. It mainly seems to happen when i accelerate or have my foot on the accelerator.
The best time you can hear it is when you are stationary and just pull off, it sounds very distinctive.

Any ideas of what it can be.

my mrs said it could be the tappids, but A = i dont know what that is and B = she is a woman so i chose to ignore her and ask the proffesionals

Engine mounts?
Dog bone mount?

hmm are these expensive to replace ? ?
i dont even know what the diagnostics are for these if they go.

Get someone to rev your car with you looking into the engine bay, if engine rocks about alot the oumnts could be shot.
This could account for the clunk as you move off but don't think this would be the problem when you have foot on accelerator.
You could try rocking your engine to see how much it moves

This noise seems to get louder when i turn right at speed. mm

CV joint, or possibly a wheel bearing.

I had a knocking/tapping noise on the wife`s toledo & 1of the bolts on the drivers side rear wheel was slightly loose . It was worse over bumps , might be worth checking all the bolts are tight

tightened all the bolts at lunch time and found that one of the bolts on the front passenger side was a little loose. Did a good tighten and i couldnt hear the noise coming back into work. Cheers for all your advice

thought i was going to have to fork out there.
