Hey guys...

2008 Cupra Stage 2 blah blah...

Noticed recently on light throttle, low speeds I have an awful stutter/misfire.. U can actually see the speedo fluctuating slightly up and down when it does it.

Intermittent. Only ever ran on optimax or momentum.

From cold it's always started lumpy and coughs etc.. I'm led to believe that some TFSi's are like this..few seconds in and it's fine.

But now this..as I'm driving..and I can 'feel' it. On boost...fine...no issues!

So ideas on a postcard please lol..ps-plugs changed very recently so I'm thinking it's not those!!

Cheers in advance! :)

Already changed Richie when clutch was done..(couple of month ago) Dunno what revision etc..but OE. Doing my head in! Thinking:
-fuel filter
-coil packs
-bad batch of tescos 99 (as no optimax available at the time)

It's only reallyyyy slight & on light throttle..like a little cough lol..like it's hesitating/holding back. But nail it & f**k me it's off lol..no issues there!

Possible faulty injector. Plug it into vcds and check for codes and check misfire counters when replicating fault.

Digging up my old thread lol.. Had it into Vasstech today at Darlo, N249 boost pressure control valve was the only fault...

Is that the Diverter Valve?! And could that cause this fooking annoying misfire?!

Also gonna reset the map, disconnect the battery, just to rule out the Revo map!

Mine has been misfiring as well, I stripped the manifold off and the valves were absolutely caked in carbon, so I cleaned it out. Then I tested the injectors, cylinders 2-4 were okay, giving 2.5 ohms of resistance. Cylinder one was just not even giving anything, so I took it out and replaced it and now it's running beautifully. Ordered a new forge catch can to hopefully catch all the **** flowing over the valves.

I was making the car choke every 3/4 seconds on idle, like it was struggling for air. If you have vcds then check your misfire sum counter. It may be a single cylinder or across a few. I'm not sure what valve you're refering to mate
