Sump Guard Bolts

VB21

Having just changed the oil on the car, the bolts (those things with the star drive heads) the hold the sump guard up are looking quite rotten. Some have been replace by hex head bolts by my local garage when the car got a service.

So i'm after a set of new star drive bolts and the metal clips from the sump guard side panels that the bolts bite into, as they're also rusty corroded and falling to bits.

Does anyone have any advice on where i can get such replacement items from? I'm not interested in visiting a breakers yard.

Also, I've notice the foam on the undersie of the plastic engine cover is also looking very mancky and coming away, so that needs replacing, again advice on where to acquire this from would be appreciated.

Its TDi 110 spec '02, if that helps.

Clearly i'm trying to avoid visiting and paying dealer prices, so if someone knows how to cut out those middle men please let me know!

TIA

VB21.

Dealers wont be that much for screws!!?? the belly pan screws are probably about 10p each and they will probably have things like that on the shelf. When you put them in put a smear on copper grease on the threads.

I think the dealers can only supply engine covers?? i might be wrong.??
