Hi all, I'm I'm new to the forum! I'm buying/ bought a seat cupra r on a 54 plate. The car is lowered on what looks like standard shocks (76k miles) and has neuspeed front and rear anti roll bars. The car runs a bit too low and bouncy for my liking and I was wondering what the ride would be like on standard springs? I'm willing to replace the dampers/shocks if need be as I do like a decent handling car for the twisties but need bait of suspension travel too! What's your thoughts guys or is standard no good? Thanks kipsy south Wales!

Heya mate firstly welcome along how are you finding the car?

You'd need to remain slightly lower than standard but keep the ARB's as they make a fairly large difference to performance from what I can tell. If you want to stick with decent springs I'd recommend Eibach Pro Kits.

Shocks I couldn't tell you as I've not heard too much about what works / doesn't work so I'm sorry lol :)

Hope you're enjoying the Cupra :D

Cheers for reply, not finished buying the car yet but been driving it about a bit (buying from a mate)
The car goes really well as is more refined than my civic type r but I feel it could do with a bit more suspension travel as bounces about around the country lanes. I'm unsure what springs they are but they are yellow?? Who knows. The car is a grey 2004 model and hasa few mods which put out 273 bhp at badger 5s recently. Goes really well:D

I'm sure there's plenty of other springs around but I believe Apex are yellow, I had a set on an old Almera and that was like a marshmallow over rough stuff so could the those?
Maybe a case of fitted because they're cheap as opposed to quality??
