Tailgate "door open alarm"

Alhambra 2001.
Where is the switch that brings up this alarm ?
The passenger doors all have an obvious switch, but not the tailgate.
Is it perhaps a tilt switch internal to the tailgate, or perhaps a switch on the locking mechanism ?
Any help gratefully received.

the switch is part of the internal boot catch
check the wiring in rubber grommet between roof and boot hinge

Many thanks for your prompt reply.
Your info will certainly help with my investigation, although when I will get round to it might be some time as it is not due the MOT till next June !!

Eventually did have to get round to it.

And you were correct. the switch was o.k. but the wiring in the hinge rubber grommet was the problem. repaired and no problems.
