Been watching video reviews of the latest Audi Q3 which shares the same body shell and drive train options as the Terramar, no surprise and they are built in the same factory two, Despite being a die-hard Audi fan stretching back the best part of 30 years it would appear that VAG have put more effort into the Cupra derivatives in terms of both front and rear styling and standard equipment. Just spec'd up an Edition 1 Q3 to match my 265PS/VZ2 and I'm on the wrong side of £60K, some things like our standard leather seats aren't even an option in the Audi, The Audi audio upgrade is SONOS whereas the Cupra's is Sennheiser - still 12 speaker/Sub in the boot - bet it's the same kit underneath and it's just branding, The interior materials quality isn't as good as the Cupra by the sound of it though I think the Terramar drives like an Audi should.
One little item that made me smile was that Cupra's official 0-60 sprint time is 5.9s, the independent YouTubers like Mat Watson from CarWow have made the Terramar hit 5.7s in the real world. So what do Audi quote? Yep, 5.7s....probably a bit of marketing differentiation going on there I suspect.
