terrible vibration on clutch

help please
just bought a 110 tdi o3 plate 80k
its got 3 months warranty
so now lets get back to worries

the car vibrates as i change gear terribly i am told there is no dual mass on a 110
gear change a bit sloppy
the engine is ticking over at 950 is this right as its a touch rough
handles lovely

what else do i need to know

it could do with a clutch.

Very hard to diagnose from a description. If you have a friend/neighbour who's a diesel driver, get them to sit in the car with you and give their opinion.

Euro Car parts show the 110 motor (Leon?) as having a DMF.

Sounds like it could be the DMF or cluch is knacked. Could need the lot changing.

Having changed a couple i'm also fairly confident is has a dmf but without either contatcting seat with the chassis number or removing the box there is not certain way of knowing.

the vibration is when i just touch peddle
the clutch is heavy and feels wobbly and definately strange

hope this throws new light on it
its got full dealer history and has just been done supposedly

was it doing it on your test drive or after you bought it?

If the clutch isnt alighned then the gearbox wont fit back in place, so thats not very likely, it seems more probable to be an engine mount or if they used a cheap, sh1tty reconditioned clutch it may have failled again - not an impossibility.

the dealer has said all is well but itaint
should i feel anything through a decent gear boxx / clutch on a 110 tdi
gear change is so so should i get a second opinion

Go to a local meet and get a member to try it out.

As skullmunki asks, was this not apparent at test drive or did it develop later?

Clutch felt. Heavier than my old punto but don't everything sales guy says service will sort it
remember it was coming from main dealer full history seat approved warranty etc etc
