Ticking / clicking noise

Guys I have a loud clicking / ticking noise coming from area around cylinder 1. Its only there when i am accelerating lightly. Seems to get quieter at higher revs. Car performance is still fine although engine sems to sound a bit harsher.
Suspect either cam follower or injector.
Any ideas/ suggetions anybody.

Getting quieter at higher revs could just be it being drowned out by the louder engine noise.

If it was a cam follower/tappet I don't see why it would only be there under light acceleration, that would be there all the time.

Could be related to an injector I guess, as the fuelling/injector timing will alter under acceleration ?

How many miles is it on ?
