Toca dashboard lit up like a christmas tree!

Got into my car this morning - and along with an oil change message and a spanner icon lighting up next to the 'trip miles' - I also got a load of warning symbols lighting up.
Tried clearing the tyre indicator warning light - but it wouldn't, n matter how long I held down the button. Tyres are fine though (and it doesn't have a spare).

I guess I'm going to have to get it to a VAG garage to plug it in, but thought I'd share it on here in case you had any suggestions?

Thanks

First I’d check the condition and charge of your battery, then try recharging it. If that does not work, after fully recharging the battery, disconnect the earth lead for maybe 10 mins and switch on the sidelights to disapate the remaining charge, then reconnect the earth lead.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

One thing I forgot to mention - the speedo stopped working too, it's parked up now so I don't make anything worse!

Speedo, I've read, now uses one of the ABS wheel sensors, as does the TPMS and the ESP - hopefully your ABS controller has not failed.

Edit:- or the ABS pump fuse link has cracked.

Got the car back from the grarage - apparently it was faulty wiring leading to the ABS, which has beeen traced and replaced - not cheap (mostly labour costs), but not as expensive as a new ABS pump (at £1100.00)!

Good result, I think if you can live without a car for a short time, there are companies that can test and repair these ABS assemblies so a lot batter than the £1100, but if you ended up in that situation and needed the car sorted ASAP then the £1100 plus time to code it to the car would be the cost.
