hi guys im new here, just need a to clear a thing or two up with the mk4 ibiza facelift.. Ive brought an 'insurance approved' front facelift bumper to go on my 54 reg (pre facelift) ibiza tdi.. and its pretty damn tight under the radiator.. any suggestions?:help:

Dont know if you can see the rad through the gap where the main lover grille goes.. but the part of the bumper that goes beneath the rad is being bent.. meaning the lip at the bottom (infront of where the grille would sit) is rising up.. if you know what i mean. Would oven baking the bumper before fitting clear this problem up? ideally dont want the plastic touching the rad

Yeah having a mare with it mate :/ clear that im new on here.. best way to upload a pic?

Damn says im only allowed to do that if ive made 15 posts.. [:@] Any other way of getting a photo across?

sent the two clearest ones i have over by email mate, look at the middle lower area of the bumper.. looks ropey to me.. not sure if oven baking will clear it up without plastic touching the rad

so its not to much bother that its touching the rad underneath? you reckon oven baking before fitting could help? sorry to fire at ya haha

It doesn't look like there's too much contact, tbh I would just see how much you can bend it whilst it's on the car if you wanted. Use a heat gun, or even a hairdryer!

Sweet cheers mate much appreciated.. any more trouble im cool to post here?

I don't see why not, I'll more than likely see it lol. You might be better off starting another thread though depending what it is, just so it gets more visibility!

yeah cool, ill hopefully be able to post pictures by then! haha. We'll see how it all goes when this weather clears up and i can get at it.

If you've got iPhone or Android, I very much recommend Tapatalk and specifically the Pro version, which should still include image hosting for the pictures - makes things a lot easier and is well worth the small cost!

Yeah as ive been browsing around ive seen a few people using it.. sounds like its worth looking into!
