To be honest a Stage 2 LCR is not going to be far off your old VXR.
- Stage 1 (remap only) will get you between 250 - 260bhp
- Stage 2 (Air filter, turbo back exhaust, upgraded DV & stage 2 remap + optional FMIC) will get you from 275 - 285bhp.
You will want to upgrade the lower engine mount (or all 3 if you want to do the work) to
help cope with the power. Of course an LSD will
help further with traction.
You can also get the turbo hybridised which in effect is stage 2.5 (but done on a stage 2 remap) but you'll need a free flowing manifold and upgraded rods to cope safely with the extra torque. This will make you 300bhp+ & over 300lb/ft torque most likely. Bare in mind that affordable cast manifolds are only now just coming out for the K04 turbo (what's on the LCR) so we're yet to see any figures for this setup.
