I haven't been on here for years, despite still owning my Leon.
It's a Mk2 2.0 tdi ref sport. 2007.
In 2014 I wrote a thread about a turbo replacement and ended up getting a Turbo Technics recon unit fitted.
This has lasted 8 years and only 60k miles. Despite being serviced every 6-8k.
Sadly it failed yesterday and the car lost power and had developed a loud Turbo whistle. It has been suffering with flutter for a couple of months.
I think it's now time for a hybrid one, but am looking for one that is a straight swap.
Anyone got any experience of the hybrids available.
I've seen a few for around £500 but not sure on what's best.
