this may sound like a silly question but here goes anyway, does anybody on here use a turbo timer? hopefully i should be picking my 04 plate LCR this week and want to fit one of these things to help lengthen the life of the turbo. my brother has one on his mitsubishi lancer evo 2 rice rocket and it seems like a good idea to have one. would a turbo timer affect things like the alarm or immobiliser? how hard are they to fit or is it best left to the pro's? answers on a postcard please! :D

if you have a gentle ride on the final part of your journey it will help cool down when you get home lit it idle a min or so then switch off, the lcr has a built in pump that pumps the oil round the turbo etc for a while after

probably won't bother then......... cheers. i've got a few plans for this and after speaking to a few people it would seem that a panel filter is a better way to go over an induction kit due to heat soak issues. firstly i want to let the engine breath a bit better with the usual exhaust and air filter mods and i've been looking at mongoose exhausts and itg panel filters. are either of these any good? i've also had a word with the blokes down at my local carnoisseur (i'm about to re-open a can off worms here i can tell) about dump valves, they've said that the bailey ones don't work and the forge ones do but they also have one that replaces the original but only work when the car is being driven properly then it dumps like any other atmospheric valve....... how can this be? i might buy it on the basis that if it doesn't work i'll take it back but they've put one on a lcr already and haven't had any bad reports from the owner. i'll find out who its made by then let you all know.............................. sorry to go WAY off topic.
