Tyre rubbing

Servicing my MK1 2.0l yesterday, and noticed that the drivers side wheel has been rubbing on the anti roll bar. Both wheel and bar have gone shiny! This must happen only on full right lock. I also noticed that the left wheel had been catching on the engine tray, but thought that this could just be that the tray had not been put back on right.
I'm on stock wheels and suspension, and totally baffled as what could be wrong?
everything still seems tight and secure, but cant figure out whats causing it.

Any ideas?

Perhaps you are running different tyre sizes to the ones that are recommended on that wheel size. A friend's car had a similar problem where the tyre would rub against the mud-guard when the car was on full lock simply because a previous owner had put a larger profile tyre on the standard rim.

The tyres are exactly whats in the handbook, and petrol flap sticker.

Its a strange fault, and I cant see whats causing it!

Did you check your wheels for a buckle?
