Assuming you have a 1.8T engine...

Its no coincidence that these are all short to ground. It looks like there is a common loose connection somewhere causing this.

I would think you would need a wiring diagram to determine what the common connections are and checking them for continuity. I would expect its a relay or fuse somewhere.

This might help, have a look at Fuses S72 and S75:

Nice one longman. Much appreciated for the wiring diagram. Problem is, where do i start looking for the fuses you mentioned. I reckon once i find them, i should be able to locate the others.

I have replaced the fuel pump relay already which i have been told is a common cause. It made no difference. Was fun getting to as well.

Ha!! I have heard that too. Right under the dash isn't it??

The main fuse board is under a cover on the end of the dash - Drivers side.

There are some heavy duty ones just over the battery of a Leon... Is that what you have??

I think there is also a little cover at the back of the engine bay, passenger side (A black box thing) that has relays in it, have a look there too.

With regard to the "check DV" error. Thats common too and I think its unrelated to the others. You should have a look at the DV, maybe do a Vacuum test on it and check the pipes after the turbo to make sure you have not splits.

Hi Longman

Here are some pics of the fuses I can get to:

Above the battery, 3 fuses, look fine to me:

In the black box under the bonnet on the passenger side. There are 2 relays, not too sure how to test them:

The main fuse box at the end of the driver side, I have checked the fuses, they all seem to be fine including the 10A ECU ones:

Not to worry about the the DV error code as i have spent hours on that one. Going to do a throttle body clean today, need to get the gasket first.

They are the exact places I know there are fuses and relays. I guess to check they are seated properly and they are making a good connection.

To be honest, I am not an electrical expert but it looks as though all of the "short to ground" elements all come off of the J220 control module. (The large grey horizontal bar in the diagram) I would make sure all the earth points from that control module are making a good connection and that all wires are tight.

Also, if you have changed the fuel pump relay, you might have disrupted something under the dash. As there are connections between the J200 and that fuel relay connection bar, its worth lookin there. Perhaps use a multimeter to check continuity of connections.

Hope this helps mate.

The errors started prior to changing the fuel relay. I did have the fuel filter changed a while back, does anyone know if there are an sensors/cables around that area? I will double check the relays and give them a good clean. I think the J220 is the fuse box with the relays labled 100 and 428 under the bonnect.

Spent a couple of hours doing the throttle body clean by removing it completely and disconnecting the battery. Reconnected everything and driven the car for 30min and the errors havent reappeared. I did clear them prior to driving off and had an extra 18010 error as expected. Will be driving a bit tomorrow so hopefully the errors wont reappear. Long shot i know.
