I had this, along with issues coding my key fobs to it for the central locking. Had to replace the CCM module :( it was a pretty straight forward swap you just have to code it in via VAGCOM. Check your part number on the module and ebay it....I got lucky and grabbed mine for £10 delivered!!

Thanks. Is it easy enough to Program myself

Yes if you have VAGCOM, you just need to know the soft code of your old device. When mine was faulty the only way I could gain access to the old CCM was to unplug it then plug it back in, read it in VAGCOM and pull the code.

If you can't get the softcode I'm unsure on how to pull it direct from the CCM or if you can get it from anywhere else sorry.

I have used a program called easy ccm, it's Portuguese and uses a serial port obd cable, but it's a lot rawer than vcds so you may find works better if you come unstuck, I've used it for programming all 4 windows auto up and down on my Passat and used it to clone a mates ccm when he was having problems, the cloning of the ccm is good as it keeps everything, even your fobs are all paired up still :)

Edit: it's also only in Portuguese so some translation and new pants are in order when using it haha!
