Hi Guys,
I’m new to the forum, and forums in general so go easy on me.
I recently bought a Leon FR Black Edition 1.5 150 2020 and have purchased the kit from Seat Direct Parts to install the Variable Boot Floor.
Although they are OEM parts, they don’t come with any instructions. I’ve seen there is a guide on this website but it was for an Ateca so the boots aren’t quite the same. The only other guide I could find turned out to be for a Cupra Born!
The trouble I’m having is that when trying to marry up the brackets to estimate where the 2 bolt positions are to cut holes in the carpet, the bracket doesn’t seem to sit right:
I appreciate the bolt closest to the rear seats has a tube so won’t sit flush until I cut a hole in the carpet but the hole for the other bolt is in an odd place where the carpet sticks out, which doesn’t seem right:
The shape of the bracket also doesn’t seem to match the shape of the carpet at the sides:
I’ve verified I have the correct parts by the part numbers so I’m not sure why it doesn’t line up flush with the shape of the carpet at the sides.
Has anyone installed these on their Seat Leon that can provide any insight?
Or has anyone had this pre installed by the dealership as an option. And if so could you show any photos of how/where the brackets sit?
Any guidance would be highly appreciated.
Kind regards
