I've got the KU39's on the rear at the moment and although the grip is quite good I just can't stand how much softer the sidewalls are compared to the Assy's.

How old are/were the assy's your comparing to?

Hmmmmm, got me thinking now mate.
Tbh they feel softer than all the sets of Assy 1's I've had and the Assy 2's are only about 2000 miles old. Why you ask mate?

The sidewalls will be softer, they all are now not just Goodyear, EU regs back in 2010 changed this. .
