Ok, so I go through the whole process of cleaning the car, giving it a hose down (no pressure washer
, washing with shampoo and mit, doing the wheels with a brush, then going over all again with the left over soapy water, all the while hosing the car down to prevent the soak from drying and streaking. Then microfibre towelling it down as quickly as possible to avoid the water marks (some are inevitable on a black car in direct sunlight) occasionally there is a polishing stage. Then I put on my wax and buff it off.
All is great (until the next day when a thin layer of dust has settled over night lol) until it rains! This is where I am stumped, the wax is definitely doing its job as the water is beading however, when the water evaporates it still leaves marks
I've tried different waxes, I've tried different amounts of layers, I've tried putting it on thinly I've tried slapping it on (absolute PITA to buff off) and yet still the moment water touches the car its leaves marks what am I doing wrong?
