Got myself a weird clunking noise, which, i think, is coming from driver's side wheel area. I always thought this noise was coming from the rear because my brake pads on the rear were low, but on further inspection its definately coming from the front. Now, the funny thing is that it only does it under braking when i'm going forward, not reverse

I have recently put 18" alloys on, and i can't honestly remember it doing it on the standard 16" multispokes

Any help will be greatly received, cos i'm convinced it sounds loud outside and that everyone is looking at me every time i brake :help:

check the wishbone bushes, just replaced drivers side front wishbone, rear bush on one of our courtesy cars at work with the same symptoms. Give it a little wiggle with a lever bar or something, you will see the excessive play in the bush easily if that is the problem

Mine is doing this but in reverse aswell. Any one got idea on cost of new wishbone tried a few places today but they say car isn't listed in their books WTF!!!!

Mine did this while going forward slowly braking and in reverse slowly braking turned out that the screw in the brake disk had come loose and allowed the disk slight movement, Hope this helps

I had a similar thing while on holiday, a good scrub of the hub and disc faces and proper torquing of the road wheel bolts sorted it out.

I thought it might be disk/pad come loose but I've fitted new disk's and pads and still getting noise so think I'll fit new wishbones
