Hello, if you're reading. So... this is my introductory thread to the forum, great start... can't say I've been a member of any forum before but I've spent twelve sleepless years reading the terms and conditions, sweating over my potty mouth and **** (rubbish) (**** I can't help it) sense of humour, I'd like to think I understand but please do point out if I'm doing anything wrong.
My Leon is the first car I've ever bought and it was intended to get me by; for work, cheap insurance, all that malarky so I ended up with the Copa 1.2 TSI model. It had all the optional extras and I was real impressed in the showroom. My old man used to drive a slammed beetle back in the day and given that, combined with living in Wales with naff all else to do, I was destined from a young age to be one of the louts who parked behind the local leisure centre in a slammed car playing ignorant music, revving a 1.2 engine, convincing myself I was doing it out of irony... I hope the older heads on the forum can forgive me for this, at least I'm conscious of it.
Anyway I put Apex RDX coilovers on the thing, took the adjusters out in the back and dropped it all the way down to a more or less impractical level on 19 inch OEMS 111, which look like your 3SDM 0.01 (Oh no, some of you don't like me already
). After much rubbing and scraping I got the tyre size right and now it just scrapes on everything.
Admittedly I fell out of love with the car as I had a faulty front coil which ultimately led to my driver side suspension collapsing and obliterating my wing. I got this fixed and went to test drive a Scirocco a few months back but I can't part with the Leon, I actually love Leon... Leon, I love you... So... now that I know my hearts in the right place I'm going all out; recently purchased the Cupra R facelift front bumper which is waiting to go on and bought V2 air ride which should be with me soon. I've made a ton of plans which I'm not sure you want to hear here so I'm desperately trying to cut this short. In fact, I'm cutting it short here.
I hope this hasn't been too long winded as an introduction but I tried, its the trying that counts apparently. I look forward to hearing your feedback, opinions, knowledge and seeing some awesome Seats. I'm sure with the tat I talk i won't have a problem posting another 14 times, (will probably use up half of the sites data) that is in the hope I don't get banned, ha!
Peace and love fellow Seat enthusiasts.
