If you've been keeping up with our threads, you might have seen this gorgeous CUPRA Terramar Cup Edition currently available at CUPRA Oldham.

We’ve loved hearing your thoughts on what you love about this edition, and also what you’re not so keen on! 💪 But it got us thinking – what is it that makes a special edition car truly desirable to you?

🤔Is it the exclusivity, like how limited the production numbers are? Or is it the unique body design, the custom interiors, or even the performance upgrades? Or maybe, special editions aren’t your thing at all?

We’re eager to hear your opinions!

Performance would be what I used to want but these days on the road you cant use it and I already have a track toy.

So today I am looking at how it holds its resale value vs the standard cars. (Eg Cupra R (MK3) VS Leon Cupra)

And that value will be very much down to equipment levels, reliability (as VAG Have had a bad couple years) and looks as well as stuff like Insurance grouping and service cost's

A special edition should be just that... special! Not just a badge and a pinstripe down the side, but maybe some big fat wheels and tyres, enhanced performance and a different colour scheme - not just the boring greys and dark blues that Cupra seem to offer. How about some funky yellows and oranges and bright greens and blues?

A truly desirable special edition is the Shelby GT mustang that Carroll Shelby built in the 60's.
Today they just release "black edition" cars. a standard with tinted windows, thats no special edition.

Would this be a suitable juncture to start the "Bring Back Alor Blue And Eclipse Orange " petition?
