Hello.

I'm new to this site, and I'm after some help. I own a 2012 Seat Ibiza FR. I recently installed an after market steering wheel and as I expected, the airbag light is now illuminated. I know that fitting a resistor is an option, to remove the light, which I can do. However, I have tried to find out online what resistor to use, as there are loads of ohm values, but I haven't been able to determine what value to use. So I have come on here to try and get the answer that I need. Any answers to tell me what value to use, will be much appreciated.

Thanks, Nick.

Hi Nick, welcome to the forum.
I'm usually in the Cupra Formentor forum but couldn't help thinking about a similar issue I had with an old Z4. I upset the airbag light when changing the steering wheel too. I had to have the airbag light reset by a coding engineer. Not at all expensive. No problem after that. Assuming your new steering wheel has the airbag connected that's all you should need. I believe you may be able to buy a unit to check codes and reset them via the obd socket yourself. Good luck with it.
