Just had a rear tyre changed at kwikfit due to a puncture. They said one front and one rear wheel needed realigning and that would be £99 please. I said I would go elsewhere.

Any recommendations? I see National charge £29 for fronts and use Supertracker Wheel Alignment equipment rather than laser which I understand is better?

Yeah I had that feeling.....showed me a print out that showed they did but I am sure that can be made to say whatever they want.

Your probably right on what you said though, as
Wouldn't they have had to set up the car with the measuring kit, to be able to give you a print out of how much it was out of spec, can't see them going to all that trouble.
Offten they look at tyre an if it's feathering, they suggest it needs alignment.

Although lots of these places seem to try it on and up sell things you don't need :censored:

4 wheel alignment was a common issue on Mk 2's , if you have search on there several places are recommends to check and adjust it.

Yes if your around Worcester or Tewkesbury.

I must have an odd one, it's been bang on since day one and still doesn't scrub tyres.

<--touches wood..

was luck of the draw, had a 10 plate FR that did it , and a 62 LCR that didn't. Also seemed worse on Pirelli tyres for some reason. Not had an issue ( touch wood ;) ) with Mk3
