I am looking at either refurbing my current wheels (17" starfish) on my Leon cupra or buying a new set of wheels.

Ive got a price of £220 for the refurb of my starfish wheels.

What are your thoughts on the Inovit GTR. I have seen this wheel in a 17" on the bay for around £300 including delivery. The specs read as follows:

17 Inch, 7.5J wide, PCD: 5x100/112 (Fit most VW, AUDI, Subaru,Skoda, Seat etc), ET35, Centre Bore 72.6

Firstly will these fit straight on the Leon and secondly will my 225/45/17 toyo t1rs fit these wheels?

Thirdly what do are your opinions on this wheel and make? Can also get the wheel with a gloss black center.

Thanks for advice and opinions.

Personally, I wouldn't touch those wheels with a bargepole. But then again my chioce of alloys would be limited to OEM or Compomotive. I just don't like the idea of going cheap on wheels, I'd prefer to use OEM steel wheels rather than buy bargain basement alloys. I'd stick with the refurb.

Then again, the links you provide show that these wheels can work with 215/45/17 wheels, so I'd have thought you would be fine with 225/45/17. Don't forget it might cost £20 or so to get your tyres swapped to the new wheels.

Ive looked into these wheels in the past too - and in black. decided against it as thought it looked a bit "jap"........................ also i think not so long ago someone on this forum was selling some!!

I love deep dish, so think BBS LM's are next to do. My current Rondells (seriously deep dish!!) are 8.5J ET35 with 225/45/17 pirellis on.

Cant rem the bore size - worth checking but think its bigger than that!

Thanks for the advice and opinions, got some thinking to do lol

Ive also been looking at BBS replicas, Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2 etc, bu was trying to keep the cost down.

I will need spigot rings to downsize the bore for the cupra, Id done a bit of reading on wheel sizes, offsets etc but wanted to run it by folk with more knowledge.

Thanks again.

starfishes are crap. i refurbed mine in black and iv just changed them, litterally weeks after for LM reps

wheels are wheels imo if you like them, who cares what names on them, but the bargain ones do tend to be the wheels that no one really buys hence why there cheap

Thanks for the advice guys, got one more question.

I know the starfish are 17" x 7.5" and an et of 38 I believe.

I have seen some deep dish style rims that are 17" x 8" with an et of 32.

Thinking of getting these and sticking with the 225/45/17 tyre size.

Will these rims fit ok as they are slightly wider?

Wheels in question

Thanks again for all the advice.

Trying to choose wheels is a nightmare, way to much choice out there lol. Feel like i've been looking for ages.

Got it down to a choice of two. These are going on a facelift leon cupra which standard suspension.

Looking at ZCW - Angel 18" (£359) or Cades Tyrus 17" (£400)

Will 18's look weird with the standard suspension? The 18s will cost me a bit more overall cause i'll need all four tyres instead of two.

Any opinions on either of these wheels or one the size choice for an un-lowered cupra?

Thanks again for any opinions
