Hi,

I have Leon 1.6 16v 77kw. Yesterday, my VAG cable has finaly came, so now I'm learning how to read sensor data. But it looks like my intake air temperature (IAT) sensor is broken. Outside temperature is 15 degrees and the sensor is saying that it is 35 degrees!

So I would like to change that sensor, only I dont know where it is located. I have looked in ETKA and ETOS but still no luck. Can you please tell me where it is located?

Thanks for help and sorry for that english, I'm from Slovakia

Engine code AZD or AUS? Its in the same part as the manifold pressure sensor, on one end of the inlet manifold

Engine code is BCB.

If it is the same part as MAP, is it possible to change only that part that measures temperature, or do I need to change the whole part?

OK, you have a later car than I'd guessed. BCB is similar in layout and has the combined MAP and intake air temperature sender (G71 + G42) on the opposite side of the intake manifold to the throttle body.

It's just one part with a single connector and comes out in one piece. I would guess that it isn't possible to replace just part of it, but it is only guesswork

hey guys i know this post was a long time ago but recently having the same problem throwing an massive spanner in the works, my engine fault code i am receiving at the moment is g42 IAT sensor reading 130 degrees celcius constantly, i know where my MAP sensor is but was just wondering if the IAT is actually integrated into the MAP sensor, appreciate any info here my head is ringing threw the dpf light up now too!
