which turbo?

does anyone know which turbo my leon cupra has? its a late 51 plate says leon sport on the service book. i assumed it was the 180 bhp k03s but heard that the pre-facelift models were all k03.

can someone clear this up for me please, im not that bothered just nice to know

ko3s mate, the 2000 models are k03, if you have y plate and onwards its k03s

think due to the nature of the k03 that the early models might have had a different map

if its 51 plate no doubt its a auq engine code 180 bhp mate

to be 100% sure take a look at the engine code.
if its APP then its an early 2001 and will have a k03.
if its AUQ then you will have a k03s.

both 180bhp.

The k03 in my experience is a little more instant and spools up very quickly, but the top end tails off.
The k03s i think it a little better top end wise, but there isnt loads in it.
remap wise the k03 will be around 195bhp and the ko3s 205.

you don't even need to mate i'm 100% sure its auq , was told by seat specialist any leon 1.8t before feb 2001 is app and after that is auq, .

X plate AUQ KO3s just to throw a spanner at it Thats Jan 01 but theres been peeps on here with the same in 2000.

Lots of changes at around that time so worth checking engine code. As long as its auq its the "s" tubo fitted.

I'm thinking of putting a face lift body kit on it but hmmm don't know yet

Mine didnt come with the trip pc/ mpg but at that point there were a few made with lots of toys and full leather. I think it came down to what was in the parts bin at the time.
