Why Does The Car Not Store Your Settings ?

Look I know I am getting old and nod off sometimes But this is doing my head in .
I have read /watched/then fiddled regarding the three important ( to Me) changes
1 Stop / Start cannot have it default to off
2 Lane assit cannot default to off
3 Drive option set to Custom always returns to comfort

All the other things I live with or turned off

SO can anyone tell me how to store or turn off the above so the car remembers them every time you get out

Think you need a OBD reader to turn them off, I just do it automatically now as part of my pre flight checks every journey.

Does using OBD11 void the warranty? I only want to fix lane assist to persist across car starts and stops.

Im having similar problems coding my 2019 cupra290. I followed instructions to change indicator flashes to 5 - still at 3!
Same with soundaktor - still on even tho it was changed to 0%!
Same with stop /start even tho I switched it to in active!
Tried to set beep on lock/unlock - no beep!
Only thing that worked is I turned off the seatbelt warning!
I have latest vcds official, paid for.
Any ideas anyone?
