Why SCN is so great - faulty brake sender

The other day I used my chavy eBay VAG-COM lead to help a mate read the fault codes on his A4 TDI cause it had lost power, turned out to be a dodgy MAF - but while I had the laptop out I thought I'd give my car a quick check.

Only a single fault code came up (16955 - Brake Switch (F): Implausible Signal) so I check the brakes which confirmed the error code, no bloody brake lights. Then the light bulb went on - so that will be why several people had almost ploughed into me this week!

So why is SCN so great... because of guides like this
http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=144456

I had no idea where the brake switch would be located, what it looked like, no part number and no idea how to fix it. The guide gave me everything!

I have never come across another forum that seems to have answers to my question so effectively and members so well informed and willing to help others.

I agree! People are all willing to share their information for the greater good. The information that I share is... Don't park your car in a car park :D

This site is excellent for those kind enough to write guides and offer help to others.
Pabs is/was a big influence and his guides are used all the time.
