Windscreen Wiper Relay

Hello,

My MK3's manual wipers have stopped working from the stalk. I can activate them by spraying my windscreen wash so I assume its not the motor or a fuse, but I'm pretty clueless. The rear wipers work as usual.

Just prior to them failing they went onto max speed regardless of stalk position.

Can someone please advise where the relevant relay would be and if its in the glove box or under the bonnet? And if its under the steering wheel how do I access this?

So I'm pretty sure it's under the steering wheel if there are any guides on how to access this they would be much appreciated.
