Wing mirror projecting Cupra logo

Is the Cupra logo that projects from the wing mirrors meant to come on in daylight?

Last night when I unlocked the car in the dark, the logos lit up and came on, but seemed slower to work than normal. Usually they come on instantly and as the mirrors unfold the logo sweeps down the side of the car to the ground, whereas last night the mirrors unfolded then the lights came on. This morning when I unlocked the car in daylight there were no lights on the mirrors at all, even putting my hand under them there was nothing shining, so wondered if I’ve never noticed that they don’t work in daylight, like the ambient dash lighting, or it is another knackered thing to add to the list when it goes in at the end of the month.

Mine only come on when the comfort lighting ( headlights & tail lights ) come on too.

I guess it uses the light sensor to decide if lights should come on when locking / unlocking.

Perfect thanks! I’ve obviously never noticed them in daylight and assumed they are on, or maybe just the fact that the sun is unusually splitting the trees here today and the comfort lighting isn’t coming on.

Hoping the slow switching last night is just a glitch, like sometimes when I turn on the heated rear window it makes a loud “boing” sound and others it’s quieter or even silent.

Front and rear windscreen heating does make a stupidly loud boing noise when pressed. It's stupid.

When I took a Formentor out for a test drive I noticed the same with the interior lights. The volume must have been set high (though radio was off) and it gave a massive boing when you pressed it! ? I think the most frustrating part is why make any noise at all? I know I've pressed the button because a light comes on above my head. It doesn't NEED to make any sound.

Can anyone advise how to change the bulb that reflects the logo..?
My driverside wing mirror doesn't shine the logo and I'm assuming it's the bulb.

Go to your Seat services, I think they will change it under warranty.
