Hi there
You need the headlights, bulbs, control units one per headlight, you need to change the plug on the loom
And to make it right you need to fit headlight washers and auto leveling too
Hope this helps

Yeah the headlight unit, ballasts, auto levellers and technically washers as above. New it's over £1000 from a dealer for parts.

There's loads of threads about this recently, use the search bar, you'll probably get better information quicker than starting another thread!

The above is the fully correct way in doing it however when it comes to the MOT (and this is still a grey area) you don't need to have the auto levelling and washers. The MOT documentation states that if the car has them fitted then they need to work, if they are not fitted then they won't fail the MOT.

One thing that causes some issues is the way the light beam shines due to dirt on the headlights (hence the washers) but as long as they are clean before the MOT you will have no issues.

JonTDi did a Bi-Xenon retrofit guide in the Mk2 FAQ section which lists the parts you require. I'm actually going to be doing a retrofit of Bi-Xenon FXR projectors fitted with HIDs and a halo (amongst other bits!) and I'm currently awaiting these parts to arrive.

Good luck if you decide to do it!

I think you need to change the connector on the headlight loom for it to fit the Bi-Xenon headlights. There is another thread somewhere which states this...I think the chap from Venezuela did it. I recall the looms are a different shape so you need to remove the metal pins and put them in the correct slots on the new loom head.
You need to make sure you have the ballasts for the bulbs but they may come with the headlights anyway. Also, you need to get it setup with VCDs to make sure they work correctly.

I'm sure Greg did the retrofit the other week...drop him a note to see what he did.
Here we go...have a look here for help and drop Greg a note. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=364444

No they dont come with the headlight best thing to do is get them from a valeo dealer ie motor factor they are cheaper! If tou search my old posts you will find the part number, get the bulbs from hids direct £35 for a pair d1s loads cheaper and the plugs are easy to change if tou have the pins tools!!
