Yellow engine warning light on, yet car running fine?

2007 FR DEG petrol

light stayed on this morning when I started it. was fine yesterday. Car is running fine, no obvious shuddering or loss of power. anyone experience similar? wondered whether to just disconnect the battery and clear the fault and see if it re-appears?

I would say that your ECU is receiving nonsence parameters from a sensor. So, it's ignoring it and using default values.

I don't think disconnecting the battery will help.

I thought disconnecting the battery would clear the fault and the light would therefore go out?

I get that engine light up quite a bit most of the time it's after I have filled her up with fuel

It tends to stay on for a few days then turns itself off but I can also remove it via my ODB connection... Might be worth getting the error code checked out by someone on here near you to see which code your getting...

Where about are you mate someone off here maybe be able to help out...

Garages normally charge for plugging into their equipment from what I have seen...
